There are interviews with Duane, Malba, Grisham and Elguera that are also a great blast into the past. There is a lot of good 80's skate footage, interviews with many of skateboarding greats and even a a recorded phone conversation with Gator himself from the prison phone.
Not a happy movie but one well produced, to the point and worth owning.

This is an amazing documentary about legendary skater Christian Hosoi, directed Cesario "Block" Montano and narrated by none other than Dennis Hopper.

For stylish airs, no one came close to Hosoi. At his peak in the mid-80's he was the "rock star" of skating, pulling in astronomical money. Innovating crazy vertical maneuvers like the "Christ Air," Christian knew how to stoke an audience. Then it all came crashing down when Hosoi plowed into a self-destructive binge, getting hooked on crystal meth and hitting rock bottom with a prison sentence for drug smuggling. Completely annihilated, Christian turned to the Bible for answers and found new strength, getting released from prison in 2004 and at 37, launching into skateboarding once again.

With loads of fantastic footage from Hosoi, Hawk, Gator, Cab, Mcgill and so many others and, several really great interviews with Grosso, Duncan, Jay Adams, Alva and Jason Lee, this is a Tailtap.com MUST HAVE.
