Buddy Carr Skateboards - Barre de Chocolat
When I was shaping this board for free riding and commuting, I wanted to
make a board that was lightweight, turned well and featured a kick tail,
so that getting the nose up and over curbs would be simple and effortless.
This well designed kick tail also makes modern, street tricks like shuvits,
ollies and kick flips a breeze.
We’ve built a medium depth concave into “Chocolat”, enough
for sure foot placement, yet with ample room for foot adjustment during
trick set up.
“Chocolat” has a unique rail design, that provides room for
maximum wheel clearance and continues through the entire belly of the board,
creating a visually stunning and functional bottom side.
We carried that same look and feel onto the top and layered “Chocolat”
with a meticulously cut sheet of grip tape that carries that same good look,
while supplying plenty of foot traction at the same time.
The colour-matched 70mm 80 durometer, center set-bearing wheels, provide
plenty of roll speed. With their hand- sanded riding surface, predictable
and controllable slides are the norm.
As for the trucks, we have chosen Buck Trucks; these high quality 180mm
aluminum trucks, allow the rider to get in and out of deep turns with confidence
and control.
“Barre de Chocolat” is wrapped in a stunning graphic, produced
by Antonio Carusone. Covered in a combination of Pantone numbers 525 and
263,our new complete skateboard, “Chocolat” has a mouthwatering
appearance.

Starting with the 7 ply hard rock maple decks that are pressed in San Diego, California, you are guaranteed a long lasting deck. These decks will retain their strength and pop much longer than those pressed overseas using softer woods and inferior glues. Your "66" is assembled with performance proven Independent Trucks that turn when you want them to and grind over the roughest of coping. Wheels are produced in Southern California using premium grade, high rebound urethanes. These wheels provide maximum roll, speed and traction and do so without flat spotting. Your "66" is hand built with .25 inch riser pads and is finished off with laser cut grip tape to give your board a clean look from the top side. As with all Buddy Carr Skateboards this is a first class set up, from clean modern looks to the high performance ride, you are not going to be disappointed with this one.

Beautiful new addition to the expanding line from Buddy Carr Skateboards. The "66" was designed primarily for park and pool skating but works great in the streets as well. Laminated 7 ply maple pressed in the deep, but comfortable, "vice" mold concave provides sure foot performance when it counts. The solid 15 inch wheelbase gives you the stability you need at higher speeds and at 9 wide you have a good platform to stand on. These decks are as stunning as they are functional, decks are dipped in paint nose to tail and rail to rail then each carefully screen printed by hand. Graphics by New York based graphic designer Antonio Carusone make this board really come to life. Graphic: By Antonio Carusone. Born in Queens, NY into a colorful Italian family, Antonio Carusone has been in the creative arts since he was a child. Currently he resides in NYC, where he is an Senior Art Director at Ogilvy, and oversees projects, which have included Nestle, Cisco, Time Warner Cable, Lays, Dial, Red Stripe, AOL, NFL, Gillette, Cingular, Audi, Verizon, and Bank of America. He has also won Caple Design Awards for his work on Wisk and Jose Cuervo.
